We know it’s a little early, but this year we’re not going to have the usual luxury of shopping between Thanksgiving and Christmas. So we need your lists ASAP. And of course, that means we have to publish our own. Watch this space for changes. Where possible we’re linking to items online for your shopping convenience — sometimes, like in the case of the camera equipment, our requests are fairly specific. Cliff:

General — I appear to slowly be losing weight, which is good, but I’m not out of the XXL woods yet. XL stuff fits, but too snugly for my liking.
• PC3200 DDR RAM, 512MB or greater, similar to this item
• Plush terry cloth bathrobe — size XXL — both for gym and home use
• Frommer’s Spain
• Wot’s all this, then? tee shirt
• white sweat socks — the higher the cotton content, the better (small stripes are OK but I’m not trying to look like a Little Leaguer from 1983, OK?)
• Size XXL Boxers — I like Old Navy’s styles, but I’m not picky. Aunt Margie usually finds some good ones.
• Size XXL tee / polo shirts. I like solid colors, stripes if they’re not overpowering, short sleeves, long sleeves.
• Size XXL dress shirts, same as above
• Pants — I need pants, but I need to be the one to select them. Pants gift certificates would be great for this.
• Gladware, Take-Alongs, Ziploc or similar semi-disposable food-storage containers. The ones we can get here in Germany just don’t compare.
• portable external hard drive like this one — I really want it to be powered by USB (so I don’t have to schlep yet another power supply and cable around)

Camera Stuff — I have an Olympus Evolt E-500. I am perfectly happy with used camera gear. Amazon.com or KEH.com might be good sources for these items. Check with my dad before purchasing any of this stuff — he’s got a lot of old stuff and it sounds like a lot of it will work with my camera.

• 2GB xD memory card for my camera
• remote control for my camera, or perhaps cheaper on Amazon, or maybe this one supposedly compatible with many camera brands
• Flash bracket
• hot shoe cable to go with the bracket above
• right-angle view finder (this will be hard to find, and hard to find at an affordable price)

• Unmarked spice jars - something like this (item C size) would be nice. I need about 15-20 of them and they don’t have to be the linked one. I just need them to be unmarked, not in a rack and empty.
• L’Eau D’Issey Perfume - I’m almost out of this stuff.
• Gift certificates to Sephora, Barnes & Noble, Bed, Bath & Beyond or DSW (I know, not exciting, but this will help cover stuff I need to pick out myself)
• ‘24′ DVDs, season six
• This robe, size 18/20 (I like it a little big)
