Cliff & Sarah

are developing quite a culinary acumen at home due to the high costs associated with restaurants in Europe.

Rosenmontag

Man, I love wikipedia.

I assumed “Rosenmontag” had something to do with roses. Nope. Has to do with the Kölsch dialect of German I used to be somewhat comfortable with (though, by now, I might be better at Oberpfälzisch).

And Karneval? “Goodbye, Meat!”

I love how Latin has Lent that to German.
