One day the sun was shining. Dad went to the pond. He looked at the fish. He looked at the plants. He heard the birds singing. He heard a bee buzz. Then he heard something new. RRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. He said, “That sounds like my friend Toad. But I do not see him. Toad? Toad? Is that you?” He looked at the pond again. He saw two eyes looking at him.
“Hello Dad,” said Toad.
“Hello, Toad,” said Dad. “It has been a long Winter. I have missed you!”
“I have missed you too,” said Toad. “It has been a very long Winter. I do not have a coat. I do not go to Mexico. But now Spring is here and I am singing. I will sing all night.”
“I will sing with you,” said Dad.

For the reader with no idea what’s going on here, allow me to give a short explanation:
1. Unseen in the video above is my dad, playing his harmonica to the toad in my parents’ pond.
2. My mom and I are referencing Frog and Toad by Arnold Lobel — a nice series of books for beginning readers.
Cute! I love The Adventures of Frog and Toad!!
